Dr. John Macon Jr. Story
Dr. John Macon Jr., a native of Augusta, Georgia, has dedicated his life to the service of others through both holistic and traditional medicine. A 2005 graduate of A.R. Johnson Health Science and Engineering Magnet School, Dr. Macon went on to earn his Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from Kennesaw State University in 2009. His passion for healing led him to Morehouse School of Medicine, where he earned his Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree in 2014.
Dr. Macon completed his residency in Family Medicine at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany, Georgia, where he distinguished himself as Chief Resident. His leadership, compassion, and clinical excellence during residency laid the foundation for his thriving medical career.
Following residency, Dr. Macon has served in some of Georgia’s most respected healthcare institutions, including Grady Memorial Hospital. He currently practices Family Medicine at Emory Hospital in Atlanta, where he continues to provide comprehensive, patient-centered care.
In addition to his work in conventional medicine, Dr. Macon founded Macon’s Holistic and Wellness Clinic, where he combines his extensive medical knowledge with holistic and integrative therapies. His approach addresses the full spectrum of physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual health, helping clients achieve true balance and long-term wellness. Dr. Macon is passionate about empowering individuals to take an active role in their health through nutrition, lifestyle changes, preventative care, and natural healing methods.
